Jury Awards $253.4 Million Verdict in First Vioxx Trial.
A Texas jury held Merck & Co. liable for the death of a Vioxx user who died of fatal arrhythmia and awarded his widow $253.4 million. There are currently thousands of Vioxx cases pending nationwide.
